1. What This Is

VaultQuest is a personal project designed to help families track allowances, chores, and teach kids about money management in a fun, virtual environment. This is an educational tool, not a real bank or financial institution.

2. No Warranties

VaultQuest is provided "as-is" without any warranties or guarantees. We do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but we make no promises about uptime, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose.

3. Your Account

You're responsible for:

• Keeping your account secure
• All activity that happens under your account
• Supervising your children's use of the service
• Understanding this is virtual money, not real currency

4. Prohibited Conduct

Don't:

• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or abuse the service
• Use the service for anything illegal
• Share or sell your account access
• Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the service
• Impersonate others or create fake accounts

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Recurring charges until you cancel
• No refunds for partial months
• Prices may change with 30 days notice
• You can cancel anytime through your account settings

6. Termination Rights

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts, or shut down the service entirely, at any time for any reason. We'll try to give notice when possible, but we're not required to.

7. Limitation of Liability

We're not responsible for:

• Data loss or corruption
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Bugs, errors, or technical issues
• Any damages arising from your use of the service
• Disputes between family members about virtual money

Your use of VaultQuest is at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (if anything).

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service means you accept the updated terms. We'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top when changes are made.
